Finally, a quick update on our pledge—in the current issue’s Editor’s Note—to remove ads on our website if three new masthead members (or their equivalent) sign up by June 2022: with one new patron on board, we’re now one-sixth of the way there! At Asymptote, our mission has always been to unlock the world’s literary treasures. Our international setup is brilliant for that, but not so brilliant when it comes to institutional funding that’s doled out along nationalistic lines.
