Summary
Three literary editors joined Asymptote’s editor-in-chief for a discussion of how Chinese literature is perceived abroad in the wake of Mo Yan’s Nobel prize win. Their debate focused particularly on how to present Chinese texts in translation. The event drew a big crowd, and members of the audience eagerly participated in the Q&A that followed the panel discussion.
